Lauris ReiniksLauris Reiniks. „When I am abroad, I always say that I come from small and beautiful Latvia, and Latvia isn’t the only beauty of the Baltic coast, as she has as beautiful sisters – Lithuania and Estonia. Each of these countries can be proud of something unique which is typical only for the one. It’s worth to see it. I am glad that my music can unite young and aged people in all three Baltic States, and it corresponds very well with the idea of the Great Baltic project. My first Baltic song was the cheerful Es skrienu / Aš Bėgu / Ma jooksen, which action took place in Latvian countryside. Now people can enjoy romantic city song Pasakā / Pasaka / Linnamuinasjutt. Video clip of this song was shot in Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius. So my wish will be like this: „Let’s run through fabulous Baltics with pleasure! It’s wonderful that we all are so good neighbors – let’s herd and get to know each other even better!”

Kristina Savickytė-Damanskienė“It is a great honour to be an ambassador for the Great Baltic Tour 2011 in Lithuania. When we have time we enjoy taking trips to the Baltic sister countries as a family. This is a perfect way to enjoy your free time and an opportunity to spend it with your whole family. Because we are usually very busy we do not often have the chance to go on long trips. Trips like that are expensive and planning takes a lot of time. It is just great that since we live in Lithuania we have the perfect opportunity to travel in our neighbour countries Latvia and Estonia. You wake up on a Saturday morning, hop into your car and take off to enjoy the old towns of Riga and Tallinn.
For me one of the most beautiful and vivid childhood memories is the Baltic Way. In all the events where Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia participate together, you can feel a friendly support towards one another. I am proud that we are such united neighbours! This project is another opportunity to meet and strengthen our unity!

Visit Estonia and other Southern neighbours this summer!

Pille MinevSummer is vacation time. If at all possible, most of us prefer to spend this beautiful and light time away from city noise. Staying here for your vacation actually sounds good. There is not much point in flying to the Mediterranean in summer. First, it is too hot and second, there is so much interesting to discover here. How well do we really know our neighbouring countries? Instead of rushing from one pillar to another in Greece our stay in an air-conditioned, waiting for a cooler evening, why not take a trip through Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania? Although only a few hours away, these countries are quite different, each offering a lot of interesting sights. Let’s admit, we don’t really know much about the other two Baltic countries. Why not find out this summer?
